Corrections Policy

The Stock Radar publishes daily US equity market analysis. Accuracy is foundational to our editorial mission. This page details our policy for identifying, correcting, and disclosing errors.

What Counts as a Correction

  • Factual errors: incorrect ticker symbols, percentages, dates, company names, financial figures, or quoted values
  • Misleading framing: chart captions or headlines that materially misrepresent the underlying data
  • Source mistakes: incorrect attribution to SEC EDGAR, FRED, BLS, or major financial press
  • Data discrepancies: figures that conflict with the primary source cited in the article

How Errors Are Identified

We rely on three independent verification layers: (1) automated post-publish audits checking for placeholder leftover, broken charts, missing schema, and data-table inconsistencies; (2) reader reports submitted via the contact form; (3) periodic editorial spot-checks across recent publications. Reader corrections receive priority review within 24 hours.

Correction Process

  1. Verification: editorial team confirms the error against the original primary source (SEC filing, FRED data, central bank statement)
  2. Update: the published article is corrected immediately. Corrected text replaces the erroneous content in-line
  3. Disclosure: a “Correction Note” block is appended at the bottom of the article, citing the date, original error, corrected text, and source consulted
  4. Indexing: corrected URLs are resubmitted via Google Indexing API and Bing IndexNow to ensure search engines crawl the updated version
  5. Aggregation: significant corrections are recorded in our internal corrections log for quarterly editorial review

Reporting an Error

If you discover an error in any article, please email tytutueh13@gmail.com with the article URL, the specific text in question, and a citation to the correct source. Reports are reviewed by the editor-in-chief Jungwook Shin. Acknowledged corrections are typically published within 24 hours of verification.

Removed Content

In rare cases, articles found to contain unrecoverable errors (e.g., entirely incorrect ticker, fabricated data) are unpublished and a placeholder note is left at the original URL explaining the removal. This is logged in our internal audit dashboard.

Editorial Independence

Corrections are made on the basis of factual accuracy, not in response to external pressure. We do not modify or remove articles based on requests from companies, investors, or other commercial parties unless a factual error is independently verified.
